Rómulo Peńa
Nace en Falcón, Venezuela en 1982.
"A finales del 2006 compre una revista de fotografía de origen mexicano la cual le dedicaba ese número a la fotografía estenopeica contemporánea de ese país, hasta ese momento no conocía el término -estenopeico-, al hojear la revista enseguida me sentí identificado con la estética de las fotos y al leer acerca de qué se trataba el proceso estenopeico quedé fascinado.

De allí en adelante empecé a investigar por mi cuenta a través de páginas web.

Me encanta este tipo de fotografía porque te pone en contacto directo con la raíz del proceso fotográfico, te abre un mundo de posibilidades de expresión. Nunca deja de ser emocionante ver las imágenes obtenidas a través de las cámaras que construyo, ya que en el resultado final hay algo de azar, algo que no se puede controlar del todo y eso muchas veces termina en resultados especiales, dándole un toque único a éstas imágenes".

"By the end of 2006 I bought a Mexican photography magazine in which the main issue was the contemporary pinhole photography in that country. Until then, I knew nothing about the term -pinhole- but when I started to leaf through the magazine I, immediately, felt related to the esthetics of the photos and when I read what the whole pinhole process was about, I was fascinated.

From that same moment I began making my own researches through web pages.

I love this kind of photography because it keeps you in a direct touch with the origins of the photographical process and it also opens you a world of expression and possibilities. It never stops being exciting watching the images that I get from the cameras that I make myself, since there is always something that you can't control and that is exactly what gives to these images a unique touch."
